The Inbetweeners Film: A Brief Introduction

The Inbetweeners film is a popular British sitcom that is now turned into a movie. Directed by Ben Palmer and produced by Christopher Young, the original cast of the sitcom will play their roles in the movie which is set to be released in August. Though nothing much has been revealed on the plot of the movie, it has been said that the story will revolve around the boys’ holiday vacation in Malia Crete. Joe Thomas, Simon Bird, Blake Harrison and James Bluckley will star again in their respective roles from the Inbetweeners tv series. On the 19th of February 2011, the cast and crew began filming at Mallorca, Spain.

The four boys will be joined by Emily Head who plays the role of Carli D’Amato, the young friend and romantic desire of Simon (Will Mckenzie). Greg Davies is Mr. Gilbert who doesn’t like the young lads much and always makes their lives difficult. Victoria Willing will play as Mrs. Catwright, Jay’s mother, while Martin Trenaman will play Simon’s father, Alan Cooper. Laura Haddock will assume the role of Allison who will be the love interest of Will. Jessica Knappett is Neil’s love interest, Lisa, and Lydia Rose Bewley will play the role of Jane, the love interest of Jay.

If you loved the sitcom, then you should definitely check out the Inbetweeners movie when it hits the theatres on the 19th of August.

Developed by Sony Santa Monica and Published by Sony Computer entertainment, God of War III is an action-adventure video game meant for the PS3. It is considered as one of the best PS3 deals when it comes to games. This version is similar to the previous ones but contains some new weapons. In contrast to the previous games, the ability to use magic is constrained to the weapon that is enabled with it.

The game play involves the player controlling Kratos with various combination of skills such as combat and other elements of the game like platforming and puzzle games. The weapons include The Blades of Exile and the new ones are the Claws of Hades, Nemean Cestus and Nemesis Whip. Most of these weapons are used in a manner similar to the Blades of Exile but have their own combos and magical abilities.

The plot of the game starts where the God of War II ended. Gaia is carrying Kratos as she and the other Titans go up Mount Olympus to assault the Gods. The gods try to defend themselves but Gaia and Kratos cause a great flood after they kill Poseidon. They then get knocked off the mountain by Zeus as Gaia tries to climb back up Kratos slips off her back and falls towards the underworld. The game follows a series of events that the player has to successfully. The game features 36 trophies and when players attain the Platinum trophy they are automatically linked to the website that offers a preview for the upcoming Title in the game franchise.

The design of this version of the game is more enhanced with accurate and detailed character models and shadows and great animation. The environment are made more alive and with superb art direction that encompass motion blur and bloom lighting to add the cinematic style of the game. The hardware capabilities of the PS3 allow for further interaction with the environment and allowed for the flexible creation of the characters of the game.

Americas Top 120 An Alternative To Cable

One of the great things about America is that in almost every industry there is competition.   Even when it looks like there is a monopoly, usually someone innovates and takes market share away from the top dog.  One example of this is in the cable and satellite television industry.  For about the first fifteen years of the cable television era, they held a virtual monopoly over the consumer.  If you wanted content beyond what the big three networks were offering, you pretty much had to go with your local cable company.

Now there were satellite dish units out there as well, but they were huge ten foot monstrosities, and you had to have a huge backyard and a cement pad just to install the dish.  But in the early 90’s, new units came on the scene that were only about three feet wide.  These digital broadcast satellite receivers could be mounted on the side or top of your home and were not in the way.

Fast forward to today, and one of those satellite pioneers Dish Network is still offering great value on satellite service.  One of their lower tier packages, the Americas top 120 starts off at an affordable $24.99 a month.  While that is a promotional price, the regular rate is still only about $40 a month.  This offers the consumer an affordable alternative to digital cable, which usually runs anywhere from $60 to $70 a month.

While you still do need to have a place to put that satellite TV dish, it of course is nothing like the old style models.  Todays units are even smaller, and they can also deliver much more HD content than your local cable company.  In fact, Dish Network now offers nearly 150 high definition channels, including great networks like Discovery and ESPN.  Even those in an apartment can get Dish Network satellite TV if they have a private balcony area.

Entertainment Blogs Worth Your Time

Speaking of entertainment, I know everyone watched the Oscars the other night, so I know a lot of your read and watched lots of stuff the next day about all the winners and losers. One of the bits that surprised me so much, was all the gossip about James Cameron and his ex-wife the director of the Best Picture The Hurt Locker – Kathryn Bigelow. They were seated quite close together, and considering the obvious competition between their two movies for best picture, it’s not surprising all the attention that was focused on the rivalry. Some of it was honest cometary, but some of it was nothing short of dirty mudslinging.

The nice thing I thought about it all though, was the professionalism of both Cameron and Bigelow over the whole thing. They had nary a bad thing to say about each, and were genuinely happy for each others success. Talk about a great ex power couple. There are a few blogs I enjoy reading about this kind of stuff and this entertainment blog is one of those. They have plenty of other great lifestyle, fashion, sports and fun facts and stories as well. Their also promoting their site a bit as well these days. You could win a whack of money.  Another site I found which may not be a entertainment blog so much, although I did find it entertaining, is this free logo design site.  Fun stuff for the graphic artist in you.

And yes, we all know about TMZ, so you can skip that one. It’s a bit too trashy for my liking anyway.
