The Inbetweeners film is a popular British sitcom that is now turned into a movie. Directed by Ben Palmer and produced by Christopher Young, the original cast of the sitcom will play their roles in the movie which is set to be released in August. Though nothing much has been revealed on the plot of the movie, it has been said that the story will revolve around the boys’ holiday vacation in Malia Crete. Joe Thomas, Simon Bird, Blake Harrison and James Bluckley will star again in their respective roles from the Inbetweeners tv series. On the 19th of February 2011, the cast and crew began filming at Mallorca, Spain.
The four boys will be joined by Emily Head who plays the role of Carli D’Amato, the young friend and romantic desire of Simon (Will Mckenzie). Greg Davies is Mr. Gilbert who doesn’t like the young lads much and always makes their lives difficult. Victoria Willing will play as Mrs. Catwright, Jay’s mother, while Martin Trenaman will play Simon’s father, Alan Cooper. Laura Haddock will assume the role of Allison who will be the love interest of Will. Jessica Knappett is Neil’s love interest, Lisa, and Lydia Rose Bewley will play the role of Jane, the love interest of Jay.
